What is TSS and SplashOut!?

TSS is a competitive team-based beach competition where each team will choose to participate in any one of the 6 sports we offer: Volleyball, Tchoukball, Dodgeball, Ultimate Friesbee, Touch Rugby or Captain's Ball SplashOut! is a team-based water/ beach competition where every team will compete against each other in our stations (feat. hydrodash, soap football, water gun duel and more!) All participants are also automatically eligible to play the carnival games and claim the snacks available at the food booths available in Stage and Fringe! (psst and did I mention there are lucky draw prizes that are to be won?) What are you waiting for? Click the link above to sign up now!

What if my team is made up of both NUS students and non-NUS students?

No worries! Simply sign up for the respective number of pax of NUS and non-NUS students in our form. NUS students will be asked to state their NUSNET ID (starts with an E) when registering.

What if I have no teams but still want to sign up for TSS/ SplashOut!?

Yes you can just sign up individually and we can group you up with other individuals! Do proceed to register in the link provided and indicate in the form that you have no teams and would like us to form one for you. Afterwhich, please contact our committee members via Telegram: 1) TSS: Shuan Hwee (@Shuan_H) *Inform of which sport you signed up for! 2) SplashOut: Hector (@iwansleep) Take note that this is up to availability of other individual signups! If there are not enough people to form a team for you by 6 June we will refund your registration fee.

What is the format of the tournaments for the respective games?

All sports have a round robin round, quarter finals, semi finals and finals.

What are the minimum and maximum number of players for each team?

Dodgeball: min. 6, max. 8 (minimally 2 girls) Captain's Ball: min. 5, max. 7 (minimally 2 girls playing) Tchoukball: min. 5, max. 8 (minimally 1 girl playing) Touch Rugby: min. 5, max. 7 (minimally 2 girls playing) Ultimate Frisbee: min. 5, max. 8 (minimally 2 girls playing) Volleyball: min. 4, max. 7 (minimally 1 girl playing) SplashOut: min. 6, max. 7 (minimally 1 girl)

Do I need to bring my own equipment

All game equipment will be provided but you are free to bring your own external equipment e.g. sunglasses, knee pads...

What happens in the event of an injury?

There will be an ambulance as well as first aid officers on hand at all times. Substitutes are allowed in event of injury resulting in inability to continue. However, if there are no reserves available to substitute the injured member, the team is disqualified and the opposing team walks over.

How can I indicate that I am a student in NUS if I am a freshman who has not received their Matriculation number yet?

Hi! Please send over a PDF file containing all prospective NUS students’ proof of acceptance in an email to enquiries@sunnus.nussportsclub.org. Then you may enter with the discount. Thank you!

What if I only want to watch and not play?

No worries! We have an individual ticket just for the casual passers-by who are there to support their friends/ family + wish to participate in Stage and Fringe carnival games such as basketball, giant jenga, twisters and more!) Individual ticket purchasers are also eligible to claim snacks at our food booths for free (while stocks last)! Our Stage and Fringe section is open to all and features many performances by our very own talented NUS students. Come check it out now!

Can I request for a replacement of a team member?

Yes you may do that! Please email to enquiries@sunnus.nussportsclub.org the full name of the member you’ll be replacing, as well as the following info for the new member: 1. Full name 2. Gender 3. NUS Matric number if applicable 4. Next of kin 5. Relationship with next of kin 6. Phone number of next of kin 7. Health declarations (any allergies/ health conditions). 8. T- shirt size

Refunds

Unfortunately, if your team chooses to pull out, there will be no refunds given once confirmation is received. For TSS, you can request switch to a different sport if there are still availabilities (last date to request for change: 6 June 2026)
